How does the Box-Kat differ from traditional repellents, traps, or poisons?
Unlike repellents or traps that only deal with rodents after damage is done, Box-Kat works as a physical barrier to keep them out completely.
Its patented flex panels mold to uneven ground and prevent burrowing. Standing 14 inches tall, the Box-Kat is designed to stop mice from jumping or climbing over — providing 360° protection from the most common vehicle-invading rodents.
No chemicals. No cleanup. Just peace of mind.
Is it effective on all rodents?
Box-Kat is specifically designed to thwart house mice — the most frequent cause of vehicle rodent damage— and is extremely effective. Its height and panel texture are engineered to stop them from leaping over, burrowing under, climbing up, or chewing through.
It may also deter larger rodents such as rats or squirrels, but effectiveness can vary depending on their size and behavior.
For best results, make sure your setup is as level as possible and panels are securely clipped together.
Can I use the Box-Kat outside?
Yes! Box-Kat is built for indoor or outdoor use — but the elements can be a factor.
To keep your barrier securely in place, we recommend using an anchoring system such as:
- Water jugs, sandbags, or cinder blocks for hard surfaces
- Garden stakes for soil or grass setups
Make sure the ground is as flat as possible and clear of tall grass or debris. Proper prep = better performance.

Will it work on uneven or cracked surfaces?
Yes — that’s exactly what it’s designed for.
Thanks to our patented flex-panel technology, Box-Kat 2.0 can mold to the shape of your driveway, garage, or parking pad — including areas with cracks, dips, gravel, or slight slopes.
The panels flex and settle naturally into surface contours, forming a continuous barrier that keeps rodents out, even when the ground isn’t perfectly flat.
Just make sure to clear any tall grass or large debris, and anchor as needed for outdoor setups.
Is the Box-Kat adjustable?
Each Box-Kat is constructed of 5-foot white panels attached by flexible black connectors. These can absolutely be manipulated and shaped to best suit your vehicle and storage situation.
If you need additional coverage, our Expansion Kits provide two additional panels (10 additional feet).
Can I order a custom size or additional parts?
We do not offer custom Box-Kat kits, but if you need additional coverage not covered by one of our three vehicle kits, you can purchase an Expansion Kit.
Can I drive over the Box-Kat?
No. For repeated daily use we have supplied a pair of screws and wing nuts for ease of access.

How do you store the Box-Kat when not in use?
Just as the Box-Kat can be easily assembled with its push-in fender clips, it can be easily disassembled by pushing them out. If you have space, we recommend stacking partially assembled panels (5' long each) for quicker assembly.
If you are in need of additional fender clips, they can easily be found at any home improvement store or online.
How long will my Box-Kat last?
The Box-Kat is crafted from high-quality plastic materials, ensuring reliable performance and long-lasting protection. However, like any product, it may experience normal wear and tear over time. Exposure to extreme temperature fluctuations, UV rays, moisture, and wind can gradually impact its condition.
Regular care and proper setup will help maximize its lifespan and effectiveness season after season.
Can I get spare fender clips?
Currently, we do not offer spare fender clips, but suitable replacements can be found easily online.
We recommend this 30-pack set.
What is the shipping policy?
Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on the size and weight of your Box-Kat kit and the destination.

Is there a warranty on the Box-Kat?
While the Box-Kat delivers highly effective mouse protection, its performance relies on proper setup and routine maintenance. External factors such as wind, pets, or children can disturb the barrier, so occasional inspections are recommended to ensure it remains secure. If wind gusts reach 40mph, extra precautions anchoring the Box-Kat — including taking it down — may be necessary. A flying Box-Kat may not be useful again and can damage vehicles.
Our products are designed to deter mice and other small pests, but no system can guarantee complete prevention. Box-Kat makes no absolute guarantees of performance under all conditions.
What is the return policy?
We accept returns within 30 days of delivery, provided the product is unopened or in like-new condition. To be eligible, the item must be undamaged and returned in its original packaging.
