Mice are always on the hunt for food or a cozy place to nest. The Box-Kat’s durable plastic construction is neither edible nor easily chewable, deterring mice and other small rodents from trying to break through. When mice encounter the Box-Kat, they instinctively search for openings, a way over, or a path underneath. Finding none, they quickly move on in search of easier targets.

During testing, we placed 50 mice inside a Box-Kat enclosure. Not only did they fail to chew through the panels, but after 90 minutes, 80 percent of the mice gave up, piled into a corner, and went to sleep. The Box-Kat is proven to be a simple, humane solution to mice intrusion.

The Box-Kat stands two inches taller than the highest jump of a house mouse, making it impossible for them to leap over. Its flexible design ensures a snug fit to the ground, leaving little to no gaps for mice to crawl underneath.

While it is highly effective for mice, the Box-Kat’s performance against other rodents may vary depending on their size and behavior. For best results, ensure proper setup and maintenance to maximize its protective capabilities.

The Box-Kat is designed for effortless assembly. Each of the white panels and black connectors connects seamlessly using durable Velcro fasteners, reinforced by a single-set screw to ensure a secure, rodent-proof seal.

The Box-Kat mouse barrier features flexible sections that easily adjust to slightly uneven surfaces, such as the gradual humps and dips commonly found in concrete or asphalt. For optimal performance, ensure the setup area is free of significant cracks or breaks, as the barrier is most effective on smooth or gradually uneven terrain.

The Box-Kat is designed for outdoor use, but wind can be a factor. To keep the unit securely in place, we recommend using an anchoring system such as gallon water bottles, sandbags, or cinder blocks. If you’re parked on soil, garden stakes are an excellent alternative.

Proper ground preparation is also essential for optimal performance. Ensure the soil is as level as possible, and trim any weeds or grass in the area. A flatter surface will improve stability and enhance the effectiveness of your Box-Kat setup.

The Box-Kat is crafted from high-quality, durable plastic materials, ensuring reliable performance and long-lasting protection. However, like any product, it may experience normal wear and tear over time. Exposure to extreme temperature fluctuations, UV rays, moisture, and wind can gradually impact its condition. Regular care and proper setup will help maximize its lifespan and effectiveness.

With proper care and limited exposure to extreme heat or UV, the Box-Kat is designed to last between 5 to 10 years. For added assurance, we offer a materials warranty of five years for indoor use and two years for outdoor use.

While the Box-Kat delivers highly effective mouse protection, its performance relies on proper setup and routine maintenance. External factors such as wind, pets, or children can disturb the barrier, so occasional inspections are recommended to ensure it remains secure. With a little vigilance, the Box-Kat offers reliable, long-lasting protection for your vehicle and property.
